About Nancy
Nancy Ruth Michael was born in Kingsport, Tennessee, the eldest of three children. The family moved to Brighton, Colorado, when she was five years old. A 1964 graduate of Brighton High School, she graduated from the University of Colorado in nearby Boulder. Studies in English, French, and Russian led to her a career as a flight attendant for Pan American World Airways. Based in San Francisco, her favorite ports of call were Hong Kong, Tahiti, Sydney, Australia, and Auckland, New Zealand. She met her husband John Mitchell, an American Airlines pilot, in Fiji. After ten years of seeing the world, she quit flying to become a mother to daughter Jennifer, who joined her five teenage half-siblings for family activities. It’s a good thing her philosophy of life is: the more, the merrier!
Those lucky enough to travel outside the United States find civilizations quite different from the one at home. A variety of customs, different religions, and stricter laws clash with a traditional, white, protestant American upbringing. Travel is definitely a mind-expander. There are a lot of good people in this world, and Nancy’s exploration of different races and cultures is reflected in her writing. She hopes you enjoy the books of The Evolution Series.
